Hello,

I am selling this precious Ibanez guitar made in Japan because I have no use for it anymore.
I really want to focus on the point that this is a made in Japan- and not a made in Korea- Ibanez. You can find many posts on forums regarding this model that say it is a made in Korea-Ibanez , but that is totally wrong. Proof : the serial number and wording 'Japan' on the back of the head on the guitar. :)
I bought the guitar 1 year ago from a very good friend who is a guitar tech.
I paid 600 € and I sell it for 600 €.
This is very cheap considering that this guitar has only been manufactured 10 000 times, so it is kind of a limited.
Its construction, mahogany body, maple neck, and rosewood fingerboard, is very noteworthy, and it provides a great sound. I will admit that a neck-through construction would provide more sustain and that it can sound twangy at times, warranting some consideration in string and amp selection.

New strings

Great if you want the strat sounds in a cool retro look. Smaller than a strat body ,light, does what a strat does except...the trem is professionally "blocked" so you cannot pull it back,but you can drop d,open E or break a string with no tuning issues.Wilkinson trem has been overhauled and works great. Original everything,including tort trem cover for the back(!!!) and I even have an unused mint pickguard i will include.
This really is a great American made guitar and is more versatile with the trem blocked. this mod is easily reversed as it is simply a wood shim between the block and the body . DIY in fact...
I play more acoustic than ever and need another flat top. Great quality at this price,solid stage worthy axe for the pro or hobbyist.

Behold!!!!! This is a 1980 Peavey T-60 with original hardshell case (OHSC). Peavey and this model guitar were the first guitars to use truly modern manufacturing methods. This assured that each guitar was nearly an exact copy of any other guitar of the same model. Very solid and consistent guitar. Lots of cool pickup settings because of the coil tapping tone knobs and extra switch. Good condition for a guitar this age. Typical nicks and scratches. Some kind of black smudge on the back of the guitar that could be buffed out. See photos. S/N = 005162XX. This guitar is very versatile. Lotsa country guys, and the blues great Johnny Copeland, used this guitar exclusively.
